[History Review] In 1851, silk products were shown in the 1st World Fair London; in June, 1929, the then national government of China sponsored a national Expo—the West Lake Expo in Hangzhou, under the influence of Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition. Zhejiang Province has a long history with World Expo, 159 years.
In the World Expo 2010 Shanghai, the Urban Best Practice Area—Zhejiang Exhibition Hall is almost completed. It is the first batch of regional halls that started the structure work nationwide. |

Outer Wall of the Bamboo Cube

Themed as “Happy Town and Country, Beautiful Hearth and Home”, the 600-square meter-hall is created to be a space of thinking and poetry. The outer wall is constructed to be a bamboo cube, made of a kind of material in bamboo shape, which gives visitors a combined sense of green and modern. |
