“World Expo 2010 Shanghai—Wahaha Hangzhou City Practice Exhibition Hall Bottle Water Supply Press Conference and Signing Ceremony”

On the afternoon of April 6, “World Expo 2010 Shanghai—Wahaha Hangzhou City Practice Exhibition Hall Bottle Water Supply Press Conference and Signing Ceremony” was held in the lobby of Wahaha Children’s Wear Plant. Mr. Shi Yongsheng, vice-director of the Office of the West Lake International Expo Organizing Committee Hangzhou and director of the Office of Hangzhou’s Participation in World Expo 2010 Shanghai, Ms. Ding Peiling, deputy party secretary of Wahaha Group, Mr. Yin Xiongfei, general manager of Wahaha Songyuan Machinery Company, and Mr. Ye Ziqing, deputy chief of General Affairs Department, the Office of the West Lake International Expo Organizing Committee Hangzhou were present at the Press. Mr. Wang Bingwen, chief of Conference and Exhibition Administration Department, the Office of the West Lake International Expo Organizing Committee Hangzhou presided over the Press.

The Press aimed at advertising the “Harnessing Five Waters” Hangzhou City Practice Exhibition Hall, and Wahaha Group as well. The water bottle is shaped in a hexagon, just like the water-penetrable-brick in Hangzhou Hall. It is crystal clear, which reflects the Hangzhou City image in harnessing five waters, and highlights the water culture of Hangzhou.

Ms. Ding Peiling said, Wahaha was honored to be one of the waters in the “Harnessing Five Waters” Hangzhou City Practice Exhibition Hall, and they well designed 1 million bottles of water for the World Expo Shanghai and this year’s West Lake Expo. By this opportunity, Wahaha Group expected to win better reputation, and popularize a new food-consumption concept of safety, nutrition, health, and low-carbon.

The core design of the exhibition hall is water and life in Hangzhou. Its unique humanism—reading waters, talking about waters, listening to waters, and tasting waters—tells Hangzhou citizens’ stories of living by five waters (the River, Canal, Lake, Sea, and Stream), and reveals city governors and people’s wisdom in harnessing five waters and creating quality of life. The hall began its construction in February this year, went into trial operation in Mid April, started to participate in the trial-operation activities organized by the Coordination Bureau of World Expo 2010 Shanghai, and then opened to the public.
