Peach trees bloom every year, full blooming this year.

On March 27th, Hangzhou Xindeng Banshan Mountain Peach Blossom Festival 2010, a program of the 12th West Lake International Expo, was grand opening in Banshan Mountain County, Xindeng Township, Fuyang, Hangzhou. Themed as “Sports and Leisure Introduced into Peach Garden, Urban Residents Opening Fruit Gardens”, this year’s Peach Blossom Festival was hosted by Hangzhou Municipal Government, and executed by Hangzhou Municipal Office of Agricultural and Rural Work and Fuyang People’s Government. Compared to former years’, this year’s was higher in level, richer in content, and broader in influence.

It was the 6th Festival this year. It was a platform, introducing the landscape, traditions and customs of Fuyang to the outer world, promoting Fuyang as a “City of Sports and Leisure”, advancing the development of modern agriculture, enhancing the reputation of Xindeng Banshan Mountain Peach, and increasing farmers’ income.

Banshan Mountain County is located in the southwest of Xindeng Township, Fuyang, linked to Tonglu by mountains. It is a famous peach village with 4000 mu peach gardens and an annual yield of 8000 tons. By staging the Peach Blossom Festival, Fuyang Xindeng also promoted its rural tourism development, and its reputation nationwide.

·  March 31st, Xindeng Banshan Mountain Wheelbarrow Cementing Event
·  April 1st, “Climbing Lingshan Mountain, Overlooking the New City” Mountain Climbing Event
