On March 26th, 2010, the 6th China International Maternity & Baby Industry Expo, an important program of the 12th West Lake International Expo, was grand opening in Hangzhou Peace International Convention and Exhibition Center. Mr. Bu Zhengfa, member of the National Committee of CPPCC, associate director of the National Committee for Handling Proposals of CPPCC, and president of China National Light Industry Associations, declared open to the Expo. Mr. Huang Kunming, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and secretary of Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee, Mr. Xu Qinhua, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee and secretary-general of Hangzhou Municipal Government, Mr. Ye Min, vice secretary-general of Hangzhou Municipal Government and director of the Office of the West Lake International Expo Organizing Committee, attended at the opening ceremony. Mr. Shen Jian, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee and vice mayor of Hangzhou Municipal Government, addressed to the opening.

Mr. Shen Jian said, this Expo extended both domestic and international influences of Hangzhou as the Baby Juvenile Capital, and we would make an effort to create it as a wind vane of the baby juvenile industry, and as a professional branding Expo of international influence. This Expo aimed at advancing the economic development of Hangzhou, and making more contributions to our national baby juvenile industry.

We noted that this year’s exhibition scale was almost twice as large as last year’s, up to 30000 m2. There were over 800 international standard booths, with the new addition of Japan Hall and Taiwan Hall. Many world famous baby juvenile brands made their appearance in this Expo.
