As the first event during the 12th West Lake International Expo Hangzhou China, the 2nd China Hangzhou Chaoshan Mountain Plum Blossom Festival was grand opening in Chaoshan Mountain scenic spot, Yuhang District, Hangzhou on February 25.
At the opening ceremony, Yuhang District Government signed an agreement of comprehensive strategic cooperation with Xiling Seal Engravers Society. Zhang Jianxin, a well-known army painter, also serving as the secretary-general of China Xu Beihong Painting Institute, Ministry of Culture, presents a painting, named Chaoshan Mountain Plum Blossom of World Famous, to Yuhang District. After the opening ceremony, some principal leaders attended the opening of China Drama·Plum Blossom Prize—Starlight Center.
We note that on this year’s list there are exciting and colorful programs, including the grand performance at the opening ceremony, the 2nd China Hangzhou Chaoshan Mountain Plum Blossom Festival—Postcard & Stamp First-Day Cover Ceremony, Modern Masters’ Paintings and Calligraphies Exhibition, Bonsai Selections Exhibition, Plum Blossom Photography Competition, Tangqi Famous, Special and Excellent Agricultural Products Exhibitions, etc.
We note that this year’s Plum Blossom Festival will last till the end of March. During the festival, the admission charge to Chaoshan Mountain scenic spot remains the same, 40 yuan. Students and senior citizens above 60 in Yuhang District are half price upon showing of the identification card. Disabled badge, teacher certificate, army identity card and other special credential holders are admission free, as well as senior citizens above 70. |
