September 28, the opening cerenomy of the first Hangzhou businessmen conference was held in Hangzhou Grand Theatre. In his definition of Hangzhou businessmen, Wang Guoping, member of Zhejiang Party Committee, secretary of Hangzhou Party Committee said that, “Hangzhou businessmen includes three groups of people: Hangzhou people doing busines in and out of Hangzhou, and people of other places doing business in Hangzhou.”

Wang Guoping emphsized that in order to make Hangzhou businessmen successful and promote high quality enterpriseship, the following work should be strengthed: giving the play to the role of relative organizations such as City Brand Guiding Administration, combining the strength of Party and government’s leadership, knowledge power, business and media, giving publicity to the remarks of the outstanding businessmen engraved on the landmark building of the city, and city public advertisements and other related activities of the outstanding businessmen, and actively bringing in businessmen to Hangzhou.
