On September 21st, the World Tourism Organization signed a cooperation agreement with Hangzhou Municipal Government.

The agreement is based on the expansion of tourism cooperation, development of leisure tourism, MICE tourism and destination-building, and helping the poor to work closely as a goal. They made a cooperation plan from 2009 to 2011, and they reached a consensus on the content of the cooperation, such as the West Lake International Expo, the World Leisure Expo, tourism-related meetings and so on.
