Mr. Ye Min, vice secretary-general of Hangzhou Municipal Government and director of the Office of the West Lake Expo Organizing Committee, was presiding over the opening ceremony.


Mr. Lian Zhan, honorary chairman of Kuomindang, was writing an inscription for the Exhibition.

May 2nd, “Mr. Zhu Bingren and Mr. Yang Fengchen Cross-Straits Arts Exhibition” was open in the Hangzhou West Lake Expo Museum. Mr. Lian Zhan, honorary chairman of Kuomindang, and his wife Ms. Lian Fangyu, Mr. Chen Yunlin, president of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, Mr. Li Bingcai, executive vice-president of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, Mr. Huang Kunming, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee, and Mr. Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and mayor of Hangzhou City, were present and cutting the ribbon at the opening ceremony. Mr. Xu Lide, president of the Central Consultative Committee Presidium of the Kuomindang, Mr. Lin Fengzheng, vice-president of the Kuomindang, Mr. Ding Maoshi, president of the Central Consultative Committee Presidium of the Kuomindang, Mr. Lin Yunju, vice secretary-general of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Ms. Qiu Xiaoling, director of the Zhejiang Provincial Taiwan Affairs Office, Mr. Yang Jianxin, department head of Culture of Zhejiang Province, Mr. Ye Ming, vice secretary of the CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee, Mr. Xu Qinhua, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee and secretary-general of the CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee, and Mr. Zhang Jianting, vice-mayor of Hangzhou City, were attending at the opening ceremony. Mr. Ye Min, vice secretary-general of Hangzhou Municipal Government and director of the Office of the West Lake Expo Organizing Committee, was presiding over the opening ceremony.

Hangzhou, one of the focal cities in the cross-straits relations and communications, has established a cooperation platform of convention & exhibition programs by staging the West Lake Expo. The Exhibition would be staged between May and August this year in three cities, Hangzhou, Taibei and Gaoxiong, and Hangzhou as the first. The masterworks of cross-straits artists interpret the rich Chinese culture, convey a deep affection of blood bonds, and further the cross-straits communication.

After the opening ceremony, present leaders and distinguished guests walked through the Exhibition. Mr. Lian Zhan, honorary chairman of Kuomindang, wrote an inscription for the Exhibition.



The Exhibition was a key cultural program cosponsored by the Association for Relations across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS) and the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF), and highly accorded by National Ministry of Culture, Zhejiang Provincial Government, CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee and Hangzhou Municipal Government. The Exhibition was started to make planning and preparation half a year ago, and divided into 3 sections, the cross-straits cultural transmissions and origins, cross-straits arts communications, and cross-straits good wishes for peace, cooperation and reunion. In total, there are 66 arts articles, and 50 pictures and materials at the Exhibition.

The Arts Exhibition will be open to 25th in the Hangzhou West Lake Expo Museum, Beishan Road.
