May 1st, 2010, visitors walked in tides on the first day of World Expo Shanghai. The Urban Best Practice Area Hangzhou Pavilion received a continuous stream of visitors, who showed great interest in the Pavilion’s philosophy, design, theme, and exhibition contents of “hundreds of people talking about waters, watching waters, listening to waters and tasting waters (tea)”. On the first day, the Hangzhou Pavilion received 3180 visitors, presented 600 travel vouchers, and was interviewed by 25 domestic media.
Mr. Vicente Gonzalez Loscertales, secretary of the International Exhibition Bureau, as well as his colleagues, made a second visit to the Hangzhou Pavilion. He showed great interest in Hangzhou’s history explanation of water control and city management, in tasting the special bottle water and experiencing the sensations of happiness and satisfaction provided by the Hangzhou Pavilion. Mr. Loscertales highly appreciated the design and arrangement, explanation, and service of Hangzhou Pavilion.
Mr. Loscertales commented that the Hangzhou Pavilion had interpreted the World Expo Theme of “Better City, Better Life”, and wrote an inscription to Hangzhou Pavilion, read as: To the beautiful city of Hangzhou with many admirations for the efforts on improving quality of life. Congratulations! |
